The Wind

The wind
is a dancer;
her flowing silk shawls
rustling the trees.

  1. Yes, the wind is sometimes very silken.

  2. When I listened very closely to the wind today, that's what it sounded like, she was dancing, lyrically rushing here and there, and little dervish whirls, with her fine silk shawls rustling the trees like long sarongs.... umm, the poem got edited down to what seemed 'an essence.'

    :) thanks, MB!

  3. Before I opened the comment box I was thinking "pure essence" myself. So much movement and sound in so few words...

  5. I agree with narrator - what a beautiful, strong image. Perfect for something that's so simple, so pure, as a gust of wind through trees.
